In the case of RetroArch, all you have to do is to boot it up and enjoy thousands of games in just only a few clicks. It is long gone from the days when you required a console to play games. It has been continually developed since the year 2010 by Libretro Team and is built on the API for the libretto. It’s all technical jargon, so in simpler words, what exactly is RetroArch? RetroArch (pronounced retro-arc) is software that lets you access numerous gaming platforms (emulators or cores, as they are called in RetroArch) or game (ROMs) for your console, computer and mobile devices. The technical definition to explain what retroArch is that it’s an open-source front-end retro gaming software to run emulators and the associated games and ROMs. There are a variety of ways to play games from the past across a variety of platforms, but one of my favourite methods is to use RetroArch. The emulator is nothing but software that lets your PC or other device act as an Android platform. With so much functionality, you can access this on various platforms like Windows, Linux, Android, and Apple devices. It has top-notch features like Camera support, Location Access, and so much more. Since it is a multipurpose app, it uses a powerful development interface called “ Librerto”. RetroArch can also act as a Simulator and lets you play multiple games. With this, you can not only play games but also create multimedia Programs. Being an Open Source File, it is a collection of a number of applications.
